Player One: Chapter Three

It took me two days. I could feel her stare. I tried finding the freshman, and I did. She practically refused to follow me before I told her my true intentions. She’s really going to help us in stopping the games. We were walking along before we ran into Lucas, Kyan, and Wolf.

“Hey Kaylee!” Wolf giggled and Kayla just sighed. I guess she knew the three too, I’m including the facts of knowing Jeremy.

“I’ve told you, Wolf Boy. Around others, I need you to call me Kayla.” Wolf covered his mouth before nodding.

“Sorry, Kayla! I thought you already told Mazie about your secret.” Lucas facepalmed as he heard the conversation. Secrets? I love secrets. Kayla sighed once again.

“This is why we never told you about Marcus’ party. Anyway. I don’t matter at the moment. I need to learn about your special…club. It’s held in the computer lab right?” I nodded and we all head to the lab. Caleb let me off the hook of secrecy as long as I returned by 7. I mean, who does he think I am? I would return sooner but he still treats me like a child.

“Hey emotionless. What game are you playing with Hugo today?” Kyan came towards us looking at the computer. His face light up into a smile.

“It’s an MMORPG I recommended him. He’s finally playing, about time. I told you about that game like. Five months ago?” Jeremy shrugged and continued to play. Kayla watched from afar while Lucas got on the computer next to Hugo. That game…I’ve seen that before…

“Oh! I’ve played that game before. I’m a necromancer. It’s super fun to learn spells and do quests.” It was the best game known to mankind. I loved it. Kyan seemed to brighten even more.

“Cool! I’m a warrior, not to brag.” He said, adding a grin. “Level 46 to add.”

“Psh, I’m level 57. Get on my level, nerd.” I stuck my tongue out at him in excitement.

“Both of you immature kids, I overpower the both of you. Level 79. I’m a mage.” Lucas gave me a two finger salute as a rip signal. I mean, it’s fun but I don’t spend that long on it.

“You say you have a life.” I retort. Lucas shrugged.

“I never said I did. I said people like to make something out of my life.” He corrected me.

“Can we get this over with? Instead of focusing on your stupid game, I would love to deal with a plan.” I walked away from the monitors to Kayla.

“Impatient, are we? Welp, you can’t help it. We just meet here everyday really and if we have news we just say it aloud. We just say ‘Casto’ to get in as the password. Keep in mind, a senior might come in here occasionally. That’s Ace.” Her face seem to perk up at the mention of Ace. Potential crush?

“Oh Ace. I know him. My brother is his best friend.” Kayla seemed to sense my guess.

“Cool. Your brother go here?” She shook her head.

“Year older than Ace.” She smiled. This was the first time in the past 20 minutes I’ve seen her smile. Not even when I was doing research of what she looks like, she wasn’t smiling. It’s interesting.

“Okay. It’s good to know someone else knows Ace. Anyway, he knows so don’t be confused.” I inform her before heading back over to the group. Kyan has pulled a seat out for me, in between him and Jeremy. “I will show you my masterpiece of character. If you don’t mind if I brag.”

“Not at all, but I bet just because you’re a higher level doesn’t mean that your character looks better than mine!” He grinned.

I think I found some new friends in this school. Plus, it’s only the third week. I’m liking this already.

It’s only time until I break the game and love every part.

PAMOTW|1/10/17

It’s Tuesday, so you know what that means, it’s time for another PAMOTW! (Puns & Memes Of The Week)

Puns:

I tried to tell my science teacher a joke to boost my grade. He didn’t have a good reaction. | My friend used to be a banker, but he quit because he lost interest. | The news of a broom knocking a trash can over to save a cat’s life became pretty popular. It’s sweeping the nation.

Player One: Chapter 2

“Eh? Who are you and why should I tell you anything?” I glared at the guy who stopped me from meeting up with Caleb. His appearance was supposed to make him look intimidating I’m guessing since his suprised look when I replied. His ginger hair and freckles with green eyes totally scared me.

“My name is Lucas. That’s not the point. My friends and I hate the game as much as you do. I want in your little group. Then, maybe you can get a lot out of your campaign.” His cheshire grin had me thinking. He wasn’t all good, but how could I refuse company?

“Fine. I’m Mazie. You bring up a word of this group to others though and bring me into it, I will silt your throat.” I made the hand gesture and he slightly chuckled.

“Let’s go meet my friends. So it won’t be awkward for you.”

“Hey, Jeremy. I got a new recruit for the losers club.” Lucas knocked on the door of what was labeled the “Computer Club.” I guess no one in this school enjoyed technology.

“It’s not the losers club, it’s just something the seniors screwed up again.” A boy with dark brown locks opened the door. His grey eyes was the first bold feature of him that I noticed other than his hair. He was interesting. “Oh. A girl.”

“You seemed displeased.” I let out, a slight snort at the end of the remark. God, I should try to make a good impression.

“She’s more than just a nerd though.” Lucas said and pushed Jeremy inside. I followed after before noticing three other boys inside. One had blonde hair and was playing video games. His hands moved swiftly as they switched positions on the computer.

Another blonde, with shorter hair, and glasses looked towards our entrance. He looked at me before averting his direction towards Jeremy. Best friends?

Lastly was a black haired boy who was acting like a monkey. He was hopping around like a rabbit in a field, playing video games next to the first blonde.

“I’m Lucas as I said before. This emotionless idiot is Jeremy. The one in the glasses goggling over him is Hugo. The energetic cowboy is Wolf and the blonde freak is Kyan.” I smirked at his description.

“Cool, I’m Mazie. New girl but I can do a lot more than appearances tell. And I have a preposition. A way to stop the games if that catches your attention.” The boys, other than Lucas who knew and an actually emotionless Jeremy, looked at me in surprise.

“I can stop the games with people’s help. If someone gets hurt in these games, or is treated unfairly, it’s as bad as bullying. That’s not okay. We need to stop these games. They’ve gone on for far too long. I might have just moved here, but I can make a life lasting impact.”

“How will you do that? You only have us and that one senior.” Kyan asked.

“I can make wonders. We just don’t follow the game. Or well, we follow but don’t follow. We follow enough to not get punished, that’s what I’m trying to say.” I reply. “We need more people to do anything drastic though.”

“I know a first year, her name is Kayla.” Jeremy murmured. I nodded, making a mental note.

“Okay, so, would you mind if we used this room to meet? Less suspicious.” I asked, and I got an automatic response from Wolf.

“Oh sure! We’re usually here before and after school, so no one will think a thing! Plus, we let others in occasionally, but they have to have permission so we’re perfectly safe here. It’ll be fun to stop the games.” Wolf grinned at me. I smiled back. He was awfully perky, but it was very familiar. Caleb was unusually active when we were younger so this feels like a flashback.

“Cool. Thank you.” I replied. That was good. A place to safely hold meetings to stop the game.

Now, I have to find some other recruits.

Player One: Chapter One

Here’s another chapter!

~

The game is stupid. In this so called game, you live as a slave to those who are higher class. By class, it’s by grade. As a junior, I’m decent but there’s going to be others who dream for a better life. I hate to be controlling of others if they done no wrong. I say this as I love to control others. It’s how I roll, but being controlled back is pretty much being stabbed.

The lower class has to listen to all rules of the higher class. Freshmen must live as slaves until they graduate to sophmores. That’s unfair to many, I’m glad I’m not a freshmen.

This is all just stupid, but my brother doesn’t think so.

I talked to him about it. He just went along with it. No care for others human rights. This is going to be a civil war between the two of us. Our parents don’t even know how desperate students are for power. The teachers turn a blind eye, but they know the game.

“Why should I care? I get to be powerful. Mazie, this is what we asked for! We don’t have to be living sheltered any longer…” Caleb spoke. “We can show that we are more than just appearances. We can rule the grade and lower. Once we gather the grades, we overthrow the seniors. It’s a gift Mazie!” A evil glimmer in my brother’s eye, something I would like if it wasn’t against what I wanted.

“Just wait until you’re regretting your decisions, Caleb. This is still highschool.” I replied, walking away from my twin. He meant well, hopefully, but this wasn’t the way to go. We should break the games, not change the rules. I’ll break the games before they break me! I won’t let them change me.

“Hey. Kid, where do you think you’re going? You’re entered in the game. I’m a senior, you get out.” A girl with blonde locks held a cigerette to her mouth, an look that was anything but amused. Next to her, was Ace.

“Excuse you, but I don’t play by the game. Following the rules is not forced.” The girl looked at me before bursting out laughing.

“The game is required. You don’t have a choice, if we did, I would never play. But, I have to. Plus, I’ve gotten pretty good results from my actions. Best for the younger years.” Ace rolled his eyes before finally noticing me.
“Oh! Hey Mazie, this is my sister. Maryli, this is Mazie. She’s new here. Junior, right?” I nodded in reply. “Gee, you’ve already read the rules and you want to break them? You’re asking for a death wish there.”

“The teachers can’t do anything. Students can’t do anything on school property. They don’t know anything about me, so I don’t have to worry.” It was true. It said in the school rules, that as long as it’s not on school property, we can do anything. It’s really strange and a bit questioning but no parent seems to notice.

“Seniors throw parties. Lower classes have to attend. You have no choice, and it’s not on school property.” Maryli grinned at me. I sighed.

“Crap. I really don’t want to do this stupid game. It’s unfair.” Ace nodded in agreement.

“You can’t stop the game though, trust me. Mary and I tried our best. It’s impossible and we got our fair share of punishment from the seniors at the time. We were sophmores though.” He said in return.

“We need a group. We could be a secret group to stop the game.” I offer. Ace nodded excitedly but Maryli seemed hesitant.

“A secret crew! It sounds cool. Plus, there has to be more that hate the games. They’ve been here since I was a freshmen, maybe before. I think it’s time we put an end to them in total. I’m in.” Ace grinned

“A secret? We would be in the worst boat possible if we were found out? I’m going to hold out, but I won’t tell anyone. I may join but don’t count on it…” She replied. So, it was just Ace and I. We needed more than two students

“I’ll see around, we can’t be the only ones.” I bide goodbye to the two before walking away. I mean, the game can’t be that hard to destroy. Besides, how bad could the punishment be? Stopping my fast pace, something grabbed me from behind

“A secret group to stop the game? I want in.”

Player One: Prologue

Hey kiddos, I wanna self-promote my almost complete Wattpad story that HAS NOT gone under editing. Until I do edit the story, this will be the unedited version that is going to stay on here but not show it’s face to Wattpad ever again. Enjoy it.

“This is new.” I murmured, holding Caleb’s hand. It was a new school, the fourth one to be specific. I wasn’t the honor student, nor was my brother. We ended up failing so many times, suspension was given. It’s not as if I’m stupid, but there’s no reason to try.

“Fourth one.” He replied. We released each other. It was twin thing. Whenever trying something new, or when frightful, we protect each other. Our parents couldn’t care for us, so we were practically on our own. No one would hang out with us, we were weird.

As we split apart, a male ran into me. His dark blue hair stood out the most of any of his striking features. His clothing was flashy, his scarf was bold, his hair was daring, but out of it all, his eyes were cold.

“What? A new student? There’s enough idiots here.” Were the first words that flew out of his mouth. Arrogant and cocky, just what I needed. I gave a unamused look to the male before slightly twitching.

“You’re the one speaking. Who needs to put forth effort in something so little to our survival factors?” I retorted, a little surprise on showing on his features. “Now, how about instead of assumptions of being a babbling moron you tell me your name?”

“My name is Ace. How about yours, mystery girl?” I looked at the male with an annoyed look, I answered.

“My name is Mazie.” I replied, crossing my arms. “Why? You don’t need to know me.”

“Everyone needs to know new students to enter them into the game.” Ace said.

“The game?”

“Oh, you don’t know? Well, Mazie, welcome to the Game. The wonderful yearly event students at Festiva Highschool enjoy.” Ace gave me a letter, on the envelope wrote ‘the game.’

“How will I play?” I ask, and all I got was a smile.

“You play the game as the rules say. Goodluck.”

With that, he walked away.
